Middle East University participated in the 7th International Training Week held at the University of Piraeus in the Greek capital, Athens, as part of the Erasmus+ Academic and Training Mobility Programme.
During the event, the university was represented by Prof. Amjad Abu Rumaila, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who engaged in an intensive training programme that covered central topics in higher education. These included academic globalisation, digital transformation, innovation in education, and the exchange of expertise among European universities.
The week included a series of interactive workshops and specialised discussion sessions, in addition to cultural activities aimed at strengthening communication among participants and building an international academic network.
Prof. Abu Rumaila praised the outstanding organisation, the richness of the scientific content, and the warm reception from the host university. He emphasised that this participation constituted a distinctive professional and human milestone that will remain present in his memory.
It is noteworthy that Middle East University has effective partnerships with the University of Piraeus within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic and student exchange programmes.
This involvement reinforces the university’s efforts to expand its international cooperation, develop the capabilities of its academic and administrative staff, and support its direction toward consolidating its presence in European initiatives concerned with the development of higher education.
