The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Middle East University organised a welcoming meeting for its new students. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Anas Al-Ashram, and members of the academic and administrative staff, with the objective of introducing students to the faculty’s vision, mission, and academic pathways and fostering a sense of belonging to the university.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Ashram welcomed the newly admitted students, stressing that the university is not just classrooms but a stimulating intellectual environment for discussion and creativity. He urged them to invest their university years in developing their scientific and personal skills, preparing them to enter the job market with efficiency and distinction.
The meeting featured participation from a select group of the faculty’s graduates who have demonstrated their presence in their professional fields. Dietitian Lamees Al-Khawaja reviewed her experience in establishing her private project in the field of nutrition and health entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Rawashdeh discussed his experience in scientific research and practical work within biological laboratories and genetic engineering. Dr. Ruba Al-Abd presented her insights on the importance of precise laboratory practice in medical diagnosis and analysis.
The meeting concluded with an open dialogue that addressed the role of academic advising in guiding students towards choosing their scientific and professional paths, in addition to discussing opportunities for field training and employment after graduation, thereby enhancing their readiness to efficiently enter the healthcare job market.
