The Partisan Activities Division at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Middle East University organised a visit to the Institute of Politics and Society, with the participation of a number of university students from various academic disciplines, in the presence of the president and members of the Student Parliament Union Council.
This visit was part of the university’s efforts to enhance students’ understanding of the role of civil society organisations in political and human rights affairs and to provide them with the opportunity to engage in meaningful partisan discussions that contribute to the development of political awareness and leadership skills.
During the visit, the students learnt about the philosophy of establishing the institute and its research programmes that study conflicts and public policies. The students also had an introductory tour of the institute’s facilities, during which they learnt about the nature of the work of its various research units.
At the end of the visit, Hussein Al-Sarayra, Director of Programmes at the Institute , expressed his appreciation for this initiative, considering the university as a role model in supporting partisan student work and embracing pioneering initiatives, adding that this visit will be a gateway to launch a future knowledge and institutional partnership between the two sides.
