Students from the Department of Digital Media within the Technical College recently conducted a field visit to Al-Mamlaka TV. This experiential learning initiative was designed to align theoretical frameworks with practical application, allowing students to explore the operational systems of professional media and observe the dynamics of a sophisticated broadcasting environment.
The visit featured an extensive tour of the station’s facilities, during which students gained insight into the integrated workflows within newsrooms, television production departments, and the editing, directing, and broadcasting suites. Furthermore, the delegation explored the station’s digital platforms and the mechanisms governing media content management and cross-platform dissemination.
The students also received in-depth briefings regarding the stages of news preparation, the rigorous standards for fact-checking, and the protocols for handling breaking news. Discussions further highlighted the pivotal role of digital media in expanding influence and audience engagement, ensuring compatibility with the profound shifts in the contemporary global media landscape.
