AMMAN – Dr Bassam al-Sharbaji, a faculty member at the Faculty of Information Technology, authored a research paper titled ‘A Cloudlet Based Security and Trust Model for E-government Web Services’, which was approved for publication by the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Information Technology.
The research paper discussed the means for ensuring the safety and security of online government services, considering that cloud and web services are the basis for launching applications and online services to replace traditional government procedures. Hence, ensuring the security of data that would be transferred between cloud data centres and web services became a matter of utter urgency.
Dr Sharbaji suggested an effective and safe method to secure the transferred data, which entails utilising the cloud computing infrastructure to encode the data when transferred between cloud data centres and web services.
The Journal of Theoretical and Applied Information Technology is a Scopus-covered journal that focuses on the theoretical and applied aspects of Information Technology.
