The Faculty of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Innovation for Creativity Association, has organised a voluntary afforestation initiative. This project aligns with the university’s commitment to sustainable development and the enhancement of a positive environmental footprint.
Taking place within the Jubilee Forests, the initiative witnessed the planting of approximately 200 forest saplings. The activity involved the participation of 40 students from various academic disciplines, forming a field-based effort aimed at rehabilitating green spaces and enriching plant biodiversity within natural habitats.
Furthermore, this initiative falls under the university’s broader strategic objectives to cultivate a culture of environmental sustainability among its student body. By incentivising engagement in voluntary programmes with tangible developmental impact, the university actively supports national efforts to combat desertification, boost ecological stability, and preserve natural resources for future generations.
