Middle East University (MEU) achieved prominent rankings in the NS4W International Hackathon, an event organised by SourceHive with the participation of diverse universities and academic institutions from several countries. The university’s participating students maintained a distinguished presence throughout the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence competition, delivering results that underscored their advanced academic and technical proficiency.
Specifically, the team comprising Ahmed Abu Ghannam, Rana Al-Wahsh, and Ibrahim Harb secured second place, while the team consisting of Mahmoud Hamam, Huda Al-Qaza’a, Masa Al-Anbatawi, Omar Nakhleh, and Mahmoud Al-Khawaldeh attained third place. Furthermore, the team including Hamza Saleem, Yousef Moatasem, Shatha Saleem, Rahaf Abdullah, and Abdullah Mulhem was conferred the award for the Best Research Submission.
This distinction was the culmination of intensive scientific endeavour within a high-level competitive environment focused on the development of innovative software solutions and AI-driven applications designed to address contemporary real-world challenges.
Under the supervision of international experts and mentors, the students’ work was evaluated against stringent criteria, including the quality of the proposed solutions, scientific methodology, the degree of innovation, and practical implementation.
