Middle East University has achieved second place in the Saudi Cultural Mission Six-a-Side Football Championship, an event that witnessed competitive participation from sixteen universities and was characterised by an elevated technical standard and substantial student attendance.
Demonstrating institutional commitment to student development, the championship was attended by the president of the university, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, and the dean of student affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour. Their attendance underscores the university’s established policy of supporting extracurricular activities and its commitment to integrating an athletic culture as a parallel trajectory for character formation, leadership development, and competitive proficiency.
The university concluded its participation by securing the runner-up title following a highly competitive final match against the Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. This achievement reflects MEU’s advancing standing within the intercollegiate sporting landscape and its sustained focus on nurturing student talent and refining capabilities within competitive arenas.
