The Partisan Activities Division, within the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with student clubs, organised the activities of the Second Community Giving Day. Participation in such events constitutes an integral component of the university’s strategic initiative aimed at fostering the values of volunteering and social responsibility among its student body. The university’s strategic vision is to achieve this objective through the active involvement of students in programmes and activities that serve the local community and cultivate the values of cooperation, giving, and humanitarian work.

The event was formally organised with the stated objective of establishing the concept of national belonging and social responsibility among students, as well as encouraging their active participation in volunteer and humanitarian activities. The initiative also focused on honing leadership, teamwork and communication skills, as well as introducing students to institutions working in the community and youth sectors, thereby expanding their field experience.

A total of 33 local entities were in attendance at the Community Giving Day, including governmental, non-governmental, youth, and voluntary associations. Noteworthy participants included the Al-Shuala Club for the Blind, the Institute for Political and Society, the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, the Hashemite Fund for Development of the Bedouin Areas, the Al-Hassan Award for Youth, the “Nahnu” platform affiliated with the Crown Prince Foundation, the Justice Center for Legal Aid, All of Us Jordan Youth Commission (Hayat), the Charitable Clothing Bank, Zaha Cultural Center, the Jordanian Red Crescent, the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Save the Children, and Generations For Peace, in addition to the “My School” initiative.92 students participated in the event, engaging in a variety of activities that spanned the day. Three student initiatives from the university also took part in implementing the activities, namely the Athar Initiative, the IEEE MEU Students Branch, and the Bader Application Team, reflecting the students’ pioneering role in volunteer work both on and off campus.

The Deanship of Student Affairs affirmed the university’s continued support for community initiatives, based on its belief in the university’s role in building effective communication bridges with the local community and reinforcing the culture of volunteering among students. This aligns with the university’s vision of preparing a qualified generation that contributes to the service and development of society.

Middle East University was founded in 2005 in Amman, the capital of Jordan, located approximately 15 minutes from the city centre. The university’s campus is secure and conducive to learning, in accordance with the needs of students, academic and administrative bodies, and guests of the university.
The university comprises nine faculties and three academic programmes, namely, bachelor’s degree, higher diploma and master’s degree, in addition to hosted programmes with the most prestigious British universities.
