
The Faculty of Information Technology at Middle East University received a delegation from the Innovation and Development Centre at the Public Security Directorate, headed by the head of the centre, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Khansa Masalha, accompanied by a number of specialised officers and individuals.
This visit came as part of the two parties’ endeavours to deepen institutional cooperation frameworks and exchange experiences in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, and modern technology with vital security applications.
Prof. Mohammed Atir, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, praised this constructive cooperation, noting that the faculty prioritises establishing bridges of communication with leading national institutions.
The visit was characterised by an enriching meeting that witnessed extensive discussions between the security delegation and members of the academic staff at the faculty, during which they explored the prospects of joint work in the fields of artificial intelligence, data analysis, and smart security applications, paving the way for quality development projects that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the national security system and upgrading the level of technological performance in official entities.
