Middle East University recently convened two high-level dialogue sessions exploring the dual frontiers of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the evolving legislative landscape. The sessions featured insights from industrial expert Dr. Nasser Al-Bawab and legal practitioner Mr. Mazen Tweissi, respectively.
Leading the agenda, the Faculty of Engineering and Design hosted a session focused on the profound impact of the Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-physical systems, and Big Data. Dr Al-Bawab illustrated how these technologies are fundamentally reshaping industrial environments, driving operational efficiency through smarter, more sustainable models.
In a parallel discussion organised by the Faculty of Law, the focus shifted to the domestic legal framework. This session investigated the latest amendments to the Enforcement Law, specifically addressing the sensitive issue of debtor imprisonment and the delicate balance of rights between legal parties. Furthermore, the dialogue examined judicial notifications and their critical role in accelerating the resolution of disputes.
Ultimately, these sessions reflect a broader institutional drive to produce graduates who possess both theoretical depth and practical agility. By bridging the gap between academia and the rapid shifts in technology and law, MEU continues to align its educational outputs with the demands of a modern professional landscape
