Middle East University honoured a group of its students who secured first place in the Future Health Impact Hackathon, in addition to those who represented the university in the 3rd Asian Universities Debating Championship held in the Sultanate of Oman.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the University President, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, and attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nusour, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Ayman Al-Rafou‘, and the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr. Ramez Abu Hasirah.
In her remarks, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin emphasised that this recognition reflects the university’s vision of building an integrated system for empowering students—one that focuses on refining their intellectual and research skills and strengthening their ability to compete within global innovation ecosystems.
Commenting on the event, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Hazem Al-Nusour, indicated that the university continues to adopt a strategic approach that supports extracurricular activities as an essential extension of the educational process. He explained that such participation nurtures students’ leadership qualities, self-learning skills, and their ability to express, articulate, and argue effectively, thereby preparing them to transition confidently into the modern labour market.
During the ceremony, the honoured students were Shahd Al-Qaatbi, Karmel Al-Madi, Zaid Abu Zahra, Hudhafah Abu Hassan, Mahmoud Hammam, Mahmoud Al-Khawalda, and Anas Hassan.
