Middle East University participated in the introductory meeting organised by the Ministry of Youth regarding the fourth edition of the Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work. Attended by presidents of Jordanian universities and deans of student affairs, the meeting aligns with the university’s keenness to expand student participation in national initiatives and embed a culture of community service both on and off campus.
The university was represented at the event by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Hazem Al-Nsoor, who contributed to discussions surrounding mechanisms for enhancing university engagement in the Fourth Edition of the Award. The dialogue focused on strategies for supporting, documenting, and highlighting high-impact voluntary initiatives spearheaded by students.
Furthermore, Middle East University reaffirmed its dedication to the award, driven by a firm conviction in empowering students to translate their ideas into tangible community actions. The institution remains committed to bolstering the role of youth in addressing societal causes and serving their local communities.
During the meeting, the Minister of Youth and Vice Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, Dr Raed Sami Al-Adwan, highlighted that universities serve as essential partners in this fourth cycle. He noted that the award aims to transition voluntary work from seasonal activities into sustainable institutional practices while strengthening academic partnerships to promote volunteerism and accentuate qualitative youth initiatives.
