Middle East University broadcasted the Royal Speech from the Throne delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, marking the opening of the twentieth ordinary session of the National Assembly. The broadcast was screened in the Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin Auditorium, the Faculty of Media Auditorium, and various lecture theatres. Subsequently, the university’s students and members of its academic and administrative staff engaged in a discussion of the speech’s main themes and its national, political, and leadership implications.
This initiative was part of the university’s effort to promote loyalty and belonging, and to help students understand the Royal address as an important national document that shows how the Jordanian leadership governs, especially during today’s regional and global challenges.
The students commented that the Royal Speech reaffirmed confidence in the Jordanian people and the Jordanian Arab Army, underscored the strength of the state, and highlighted the cohesion of its internal front and national unity. This, they argued, reflects Jordan’s capacity for resilience and its ability to steadfastly and wisely maintain its pivotal role in the region.
This event is part of Middle East University’s efforts to help students understand their country and politics better, linking them to the key points of the Royal Speech, which is seen as a guide for reform and development, and strengthening the idea of a stable state based on justice, faith, and trust in the nation.
