The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Middle East University, Dr. Yaqoub Nasereddin, alongside the President of the University, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, recently received Professor Hasan Al-Momani, Director of the Centre for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, who was accompanied by CSS researcher Dr. Qais Al-Khatib.
Central to the high-level deliberations was the framework for a future partnership between the two institutions. Specifically, the entities explored the establishment of a specialised research programme dedicated to foresight studies, aimed at producing qualitative research to bolster national development pathways and address multi-sectoral challenges confronting the Kingdom.
Driven by this shared vision, both parties emphasised the critical imperative of leveraging scientific research and strategic analyses to anticipate future transformations. They underscored the necessity of developing empirical methodologies that support evidence-based decision-making and effectively navigate rapid regional and international dynamics.
Following the strategic dialogue, the visiting delegation conducted a comprehensive tour of the university’s campus and faculties. They expressed high commendation for the level of institutional development, the robust academic and technical infrastructure achieved by MEU, and its ongoing advancements across educational, research, and administrative domains.
The summit ultimately concluded with a formal exchange of commemorative shields between the two institutions, consolidating their mutual commitment to long-term collaborative excellence.
