A senior delegation from the Jordanian Armed Forces’ Directorate of Military Education and Culture, led by Brigadier General Dr. Saleh Al-Khalayleh, visited Middle East University to discuss the launch of specialist professional training tracks in event management.
Furthermore, the visit marks a significant step towards institutional synergy between the military and academia. During the meeting, the president of the university, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, and the director of the Innovation and Professional Development Centre, Prof. Anis Al-Mansour, underscored the necessity of a “sustainable and effective” training partnership.
In this regard, the proposed collaboration aims to provide military personnel with high-calibre qualifications, bridging the gap between theoretical planning and the practical execution of large-scale events. To achieve this, discussions focused on aligning these programmes with international benchmarks and professional best practices. Consequently, the two parties outlined a framework for a suite of advanced courses covering the full spectrum of the industry, ranging from the foundational stages of strategic planning and event conceptualisation to executive organisation involving operational logistics and on-the-ground management.
Moreover, the curriculum also incorporates training in official protocol, formal etiquette, and diplomatic standards, ensuring it keeps pace with the rapid evolution of the global events industry while sharpening the operational efficiency and communication skills of all participants. Lastly, the meeting also witnessed the attendance of Dr. Ramez Abu Hasira, Dean of the Faculty of Media, and Dr. Sarah Nasser Eddin, Head of the Radio and Television Department.
