The Department of Architecture within the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Middle East University, in collaboration with the Jordan Green Building Council (JGBC), has concluded a specialised training workshop on the global “Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies” (EDGE) programme.
Focusing on sustainable development, the workshop explored the latest insights and standards shaping the future of green building. Discussions centred on practical applications for energy and water efficiency, alongside strategic pathways to reduce carbon emissions within the construction sector.
To foster these vital industry competencies, the event engaged a distinguished cohort of university academics alongside highly experienced practising engineers. This collaborative training serves as a key preparatory step for participants seeking to obtain the accredited international credential of “EDGE Experts”, issued by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group.
