A high-level delegation from Middle East University (MEU), led by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ahmad Nasereddin, recently visited the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB). The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the university and leading national institutions that specialise in scientific research, development, and manufacturing.
During the visit, the delegation met with the Director General of JODDB, Brigadier General (Retd.) Engineer Ayman Al-Batran, alongside various subject matter experts. Discussions focused on potential future collaboration and joint projects intended to bolster the national innovation ecosystem and cultivate scientific and technical expertise.
Dr. Nasereddin stated that this visit aligns with the university’s strategic vision to forge national and regional partnerships. He emphasised the importance of fostering productive interactions between higher education institutions and research and development centres to equip national leaders with the skills necessary for innovation and industrial advancement.
In response, Brigadier General Al-Batran affirmed the significance of enhancing cooperation with national universities. He noted that the Bureau seeks to activate strategic partnerships with higher education institutions to facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge, support applied scientific research, and promote innovation within national projects.
Established in 1999 following a royal decree, the Jordan Design and Development Bureau serves as a strategic national landmark, functioning as an incubator for excellence and a pioneer in the fields of technical development and manufacturing.
