
Middle East University has achieved a new milestone in its academic journey towards creating an educational future that is more responsive to accelerating technological shifts, following the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with MetaServ.ME, a company specialising in Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence (AI) services, and digital transformation.
This agreement formally launches the G.R.O.W. AI™ (Graduate Ready for Opportunities With AI) programme, an initiative that is the first of its kind in Jordan and the wider Arab region.
The G.R.O.W. AI™ curriculum encompasses a wide array of future-focused specialisms that are essential to the global digital economy. These include practical applications of artificial intelligence, the metaverse and digital twinning, cybersecurity and AI systems security, smart and engineering technologies, digital financial and legal innovations, and creative technologies and digital marketing.
Commenting on the launch, the President of the University, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, stated that the initiative reflects the university’s philosophy of anticipating global transformations, adding that this type of strategic partnership opens a “window to the future” for its students.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Prof. Qusai Shambour, clarified that this step aligns with the university’s strategy of building collaborative bridges with leading global institutions. He added that the agreement realises their ambition to provide students with tangible practical opportunities through industry and technology partnerships, thus enhancing their competitive capabilities in continuously changing job markets.
Finally, the Head of Metaverse and AI Strategies and International Partnerships at MetaServ.ME, Eng. Rami Al-Damati, stressed the practical dimension of the initiative, asserting that the programme will enable students to convert their theoretical knowledge into innovative, real-world projects, preparing them to lead the global job market in its most advanced domains.
