Middle East University has signed a collaboration agreement with the Free Zones Directorate (Airport Free Zone), aiming to build a strategic partnership that contributes to developing national competencies in supply chain and logistics while enhancing student readiness for the demands of the digital economy and an evolving labour market.
To formalise this executive framework, the agreement was signed on behalf of the university by its president, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, in the presence of the dean of the Faculty of Business, Dr Rania Al-Zoumot. Signing on behalf of the Free Zones Directorate was its Director General, Mr Abdul Hamid Gharaibeh, attended by the Airport Free Zone Director, Mr Jaafar Al-Qudah, alongside other relevant specialists.
In terms of practical application, the agreement establishes a specialised training framework for students of the Digital Supply Chain Department within a professional corporate environment. This initiative enables them to acquire practical experience, refine their vocational skills, and adapt effectively to the rapid transformations taking place across the logistics and supply chain management sectors.
Expanding beyond student development, the collaboration further stipulates a broader scope of cooperation, encompassing knowledge exchange, joint research initiatives, and the promotion of innovation in digital supply chains and logistics. Ultimately, this collaborative effort aims to engineer practical solutions that align with global shifts while strengthening the competitiveness of national talent within this vital industry.
