The Faculty of Media at Middle East University organised a training workshop titled “Etiquette and the Art of Conduct”, presented by Dr. Sarah Nasereddin, a faculty member and Head of the Digital Media and Radio & Television Department. The session was held at the Dr. Yaqoub Nasereddin Auditorium, with a number of new students in attendance.
The workshop aimed to familiarise students with university etiquette and the rules of common courtesy, whilst fostering communication skills and positive behaviour on campus. As a matter of fact, this initiative aligns with the university’s vision of providing a safe and stimulating educational environment that supports student empowerment and qualifies them for the requirements of the labour market.
During the workshop, Dr. Nasereddin emphasised the importance of upholding refined university ethics and respecting diversity and difference. She noted that etiquette is not merely a superficial appearance but rather a lifestyle that reflects awareness and responsibility in one’s dealings with others.
This session stems from the university’s vision to prepare students to be effective leaders in their communities, capable of representing their university in the best possible light, and to bolster their communication skills.
