Middle East University hosted a Ramadan Iftar for children and cancer patients as part of a humanitarian initiative designed to champion the values of solidarity and compassion central to the Holy Month. The event, which underscores the university’s commitment to its social and humanitarian responsibilities, was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour, alongside members of the academic and administrative staff and the student body.
Regarding the strategic intent of the event, the initiative forms a key part of the university’s drive to foster a culture of volunteerism and social accountability among its students. Consequently, by engaging directly with those requiring specialist care and emotional support, the institution seeks to embed a long-term ethos of “giving back” into the student experience.
Beyond the formal proceedings, the Iftar featured a series of social and humanitarian activities specifically tailored to lift the spirits of the young patients. Ultimately, these sessions succeeded in bringing a sense of festive joy and respite to the attendees, thereby strengthening the vital bonds between the academic community and local humanitarian causes.
