The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences organised its second scientific day, entitled “Healthy Ageing Begins Early: Lifestyle Steps Towards a Healthier Future”. Under the auspices of the President of the university, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, the event brought together a distinguished elite of academics, experts, and specialists, alongside a large number of students and healthcare enthusiasts.
The activities of the scientific day were designed specifically to highlight the health transformations associated with advancing age. Furthermore, the sessions indicated the crucial importance of early investment in healthy lifestyles as a fundamental pillar for enhancing quality of life and preventing chronic diseases. Ultimately, this focus closely aligns with contemporary global trends towards preventive care and sustainable health.
In her address, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin emphasised the vital importance of consolidating a health and preventive culture among individuals from an early stage in life. Consequently, she noted that universities play a pivotal role in generating knowledge, disseminating health awareness, and fostering social responsibility towards contemporary health issues.
The culmination of the scientific day featured a special ceremony honouring the top-ranking students expected to graduate in the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, as well as the winners of the competition titled “Losing but Definitely Winning”, an initiative aimed at encouraging students to adopt healthy lifestyles and promoting positive behaviours related to public health.
