The Deans’ Council at Middle East University has decided to promote the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr. Ramez Mohammad Abu Hassirah, to the rank of Associate Professor.
Dr. Abu Hssirah holds editorial board memberships in several prestigious international scientific journals indexed within the Scopus database. He has also participated in the peer-reviewing of several specialised scholarly research papers in journalism and communication at both the local and international levels, and he has several reviewed publications in these journals.
Since joining the Faculty of Media at MEU in 2021, Dr. Abu Hssirah has held a range of academic posts, commencing with his role as Head of the Department of Journalism and Media in 2023, then as Vice Dean in 2024, until his appointment as Dean of the Faculty in 2025.
Previously, Dr. Abu Hssirah worked as a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Graduate Studies – Master’s Department of Cinema and Television at An-Najah National University. This experience added diverse expertise to his academic portfolio in the fields of instruction and research supervision, contributing to the faculty’s enhanced presence locally and regionally.
