Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Middle East University, the “All of Us Are Jordan Youth Commission” (Lana Al-Urdun), the youth arm of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, concluded a training course on “Content Creation and Social Media Platform Management”, targeting a group of young people.
During the ceremony, Dr. Nasereddin stressed the importance of supporting and empowering youth in various fields through well-thought-out plans and programmes that enhance their capabilities and qualify them for the job market. He highlighted the necessity of holding such programmes due to their tangible impact on equipping youth with experience and knowledge, pointing to the importance of preparing trained and qualified youth cadres. He also lauded the efforts put in by the All of Us Are Jordan Youth Commission in supporting young people through its centres and programmes across the Kingdom’s governorates.
In his address, the Director of the Commission, Mr. Abdul Rahim Al-Zawahreh, emphasised the importance of motivating young people to get involved in training programmes and specialised initiatives that contribute to developing their skills and boosting their readiness to enter the labour market. He explained that the current job market is witnessing escalating competitiveness and requires young energies capable of keeping pace with digital and technical developments, as well as being able to demonstrate creativity and innovation in various sectors.
It is worth noting that since its inception in 2006, the “All of Us Are Jordan” Youth Commission has been working through its branches across all governorates of the Kingdom to implement training and qualification programmes based on the needs of the job market. Accordingly, it has provided approximately 1.883 million training, volunteering, and capacity-building opportunities in support of the comprehensive development process in Jordan.
