Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Middle East University, met with a select cohort of young people from the “All Jordan Youth Commission” in the presence of the Commission’s Director General, Mr. Abdel Rahim Al-Zawahreh.
During the meeting, Dr. Nasereddin emphasised the pivotal role that young people play in forging the nation’s future, regarding them as the force most capable of innovation, the true agents of change, and the torchbearers of the renaissance project grounded in awareness, responsibility, and national commitment.
He stressed that His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II constantly direct efforts towards supporting Jordanian youth, empowering them, and creating spaces to reinforce their presence across various fields. He noted that this gathering serves as a practical realisation of these royal directives, which place young people at the very centre of the national modernisation project and advocate for affording them the scope to express themselves, take initiative, and achieve.
Dr. Nasereddin also underlined the necessity of equipping youth with knowledge and skills and affording them opportunities to participate actively in public life, viewing them as fundamental partners in development and decision-making.
In his remarks, Director General Abdel Rahim Al-Zawahreh delivered a presentation on the inception of the “All Jordan Youth Commission” and its implementation of His Majesty’s vision for youth support. He highlighted their customised programmes, activities, and continuous courses aimed at developing capabilities, instilling practical expertise, and widening the circle of their engagement in public life.
Additionally, he further indicated that since its establishment, the Commission has served as an attractive national umbrella for young people and a stimulating environment allowing them to voice their ideas and develop their initiatives, thereby enhancing their presence across various development pathways.
