Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Middle East University and a member of the 29th Senate, asserted that the future of education in Jordan constitutes a fundamental pillar of the State’s project during its second centenary. He stressed that the empowerment of youth and the enhancement of their role in public life and decision-making is a national imperative dictated by the rapid transformations occurring in both the cognitive and technological fields.
This statement was made during his visit to Roya TV and his meeting with its General Manager, Eng. Fares Al-Sayegh, as he was hosted on the programme “Donya Ya Donya”. In a discussion with Ghada Saba and Nasser Al-Sheikh, he addressed a range of pivotal issues related to the features of the forthcoming phase.
Dr. Nasereddin indicated that the Royal Discussion Papers serve as an intellectual reference point for charting the pathways of political and educational modernisation, thereby ensuring the construction of a sustainable developmental model predicated on knowledge and innovation.
Furthermore, he emphasised the importance of developing a flexible educational system capable of keeping pace with global changes and of promoting the presence of youth as the driving force behind the national transformation across various sectors.
During his visit, Dr. Nasereddin met with a group of Middle East University graduates working at Roya TV, including the creative individuals Mays Aliyan and Mohammed Nimr. He expressed his pleasure and pride in the advanced level attained by the university’s graduates.
Additionally, he noted that this distinguished presence epitomises the university’s growing capacity to prepare personnel who possess competence and creativity and reflects their high readiness to effectively integrate into a modern, competitive, and rapidly evolving media environment.
