The Director of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, Dr Khalid Khreis, accompanied by a specialist delegation from the gallery, conducted an official visit to the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Middle East University. The visit featured a scholarly lecture delivered by Dr Khreis entitled “The Role of Museums in Cultivating Cognitive and Cultural Awareness amongst University Students,” in which he explored the educational and cultural significance of museum institutions in nurturing critical thinking and aesthetic appreciation within the youth.
The engagement further involved an exhibition and detailed explanation of various artworks brought by the visiting team, where their aesthetic and intellectual dimensions were thoroughly elucidated. This provided the students with a unique opportunity to engage with professional artistic experiences, effectively bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application within the realms of art and design.
This visit aligns with Middle East University’s ongoing endeavours to strengthen cultural and knowledge-based partnerships, whilst fostering an interactive learning environment that contributes to the professional development and refinement of its students’ expertise.
