“Anticipating Promising Academic Endeavours,” says President Al-Mahadin, welcoming the newly enrolled students.

The President of Middle East University, Professor Salam Khalid Al-Mahadin, asserted that knowledge in the era of the digital revolution and open communication is no longer the exclusive preserve of any single group, having become universally accessible without any constraints.

These remarks were delivered during the inaugural meeting for the newly enrolled students, attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour, a number of other deans, members of both the academic and administrative staff, and a significant gathering of students.

Professor Al-Mahadin emphasised the significance of this gathering in terms of the profound connection between the university and its students. This signifies a promising initiation into an academic journey characterised by a wealth of enriching knowledge.

Furthermore, she underlined the importance of education in the transformation of knowledge into skills that can positively impact society. She also remarked upon the university’s commitment, through its academic programmes and varied activities, to cultivating a generation that possesses a profound awareness of contemporary transformations and can engage with them in a manner that reinforces the values of excellence and innovation.

Moreover, Professor Al-Mahadin stressed the importance of adherence to the core values that constitute the fundamental pillars of university life, specifically academic discipline and a spirit of constructive cooperation. Additionally, she made reference to the prestigious standing the university has achieved in international rankings and the global accreditations it has secured.

According to Dr. Al-Nsour, the true value of a university education is determined by the extent and integration of student participation in academic activities. He called upon students to commit to institutional and academic regulations, urging them to study the Student Handbook as a formal document that defines their rights and obligations and firmly establishes the principles of discipline and mutual respect within the campus environment.

As Dr. Al-Nsour also indicated, Middle East University is equipped with advanced educational resources, including a campus environment that has been furnished with the latest technologies and sophisticated modern buildings. It is noteworthy that this provision is indicative of the university’s ambitious vision to deliver a pioneering educational experience that inspires creativity and meets the aspirations of young people towards a brighter and more sustainable future.

Middle East University was founded in 2005 in Amman, the capital of Jordan, located approximately 15 minutes from the city centre. The university’s campus is secure and conducive to learning, in accordance with the needs of students, academic and administrative bodies, and guests of the university.
The university comprises nine faculties and three academic programmes, namely, bachelor’s degree, higher diploma and master’s degree, in addition to hosted programmes with the most prestigious British universities.
