The Jordanian National Esports Team, which features a distinguished cohort of students from Middle East University, has achieved a significant milestone by securing qualification for the upcoming Asian Games in Japan. This achievement follows their successful progression through the continental qualifiers for both Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile.
The qualification was achieved during the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament hosted in Singapore, which convened 22 Asian national teams. Competing in the group stage within the West Asia zone, the national team secured three consecutive victories against Oman, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates with consistent scores of 2-0. Despite a subsequent defeat against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the team concluded the group stage in second position, thereby guaranteeing their advancement to the finals.
Concurrently, the team sustained its high performance during the PUBG Mobile qualifiers held in Vietnam, which involved 23 national teams. The squad clinched its qualification after concluding the primary phase of the qualifiers in sixth place, subsequently advancing to attain fifth position in the secondary phase—which comprised 12 competing nations—to officially secure their placement in the Asian finals.
