Middle East University, through its Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, continues to expand the horizons of discourse surrounding transformations in education and the labour market. This objective was advanced through the organisation of two specialised summits held within the framework of the faculty’s Scientific Days and Alumni Forum, attracting wide participation from academics, industry experts, and students across various disciplines.
In this context, the faculty convened a summit entitled “The Future of Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”. Delivered by Dr. Yasser Al-Omari, Director of Educational Research and Development at the Jordanian Ministry of Education, and attended by the Dean of the Faculty alongside members of the academic staff and a large student assembly, the session evaluated the paradigm shifts imposed by artificial intelligence technologies upon the educational ecosystem. Furthermore, the discussion examined methodologies for leveraging digital tools as collaborative assets within the instructional process while preserving fundamental human values and creative integrity.
In a parallel development, the faculty organised a lecture within its Alumni Forum proceedings entitled “You Delineate Your Professional Future: A Roadmap to Employment and Freelancing”. Presented by Dr. Joumana Al-Batoosh from the University of Jordan, the session reviewed strategic frameworks for post-graduation career development and professional curriculum vitae compilation. The discourse additionally emphasised the critical soft skills and life competencies that constitute the cornerstone of graduate readiness for both the traditional corporate job market and independent freelancing pathways.
