“We take immense pride in the Jordanian stance, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, towards Palestine and the Holy Sites; we stand united behind His Majesty,” stated Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Middle East University, Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, accompanied by members of the academic and administrative faculties alongside a large assembly of students, participated in a solidarity rally convened before the Grand Al-Husseini Mosque in downtown Amman. The gathering was held to commemorate the annual anniversary of the Nakba and to reaffirm Jordan’s steadfast and unwavering position regarding the Palestinian cause.
Underlining the importance of this participation, the university’s presence served as a formal expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people and an endorsement of their legitimate rights. Furthermore, it demonstrated collective alignment with the national positions championed by His Majesty King Abdullah II in defending the Palestinian cause and safeguarding Arab tenets amidst the geopolitical challenges currently confronting the region.
In tandem with these expressions of solidarity, participants emphasised the vital importance of national unity and voiced their absolute support for Jordan’s official and humanitarian efforts aimed at fostering the resilience of the Palestinian people. The assembly widely commended the pivotal role performed by the Jordanian state in consolidating regional stability and advocating for just Arab causes.
Ultimately, this active institutional involvement reflects the university’s dedication to instilling deep-seated values of national and pan-Arab consciousness within its student body. By encouraging attendance at such pivotal national and humanitarian events, the university successfully fosters a sense of historic responsibility among its students towards core regional issues, principal among which remains the Palestinian cause.
