Dr. Ahmad Nasereddin, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Middle East University, patronised the closing ceremony of the third season of the “University Chanter” competition. The event witnessed the attendance of the President of the University, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, Dr. Ayat Al-Maghrabi, alongside faculty deans, the judging panel, and participating students from various Jordanian universities.
Highlighting the value of the initiative, Dr. Nasereddin stated that the competition plays a vital role in consolidating cultural and humanitarian values within the university environment. He emphasised that nurturing young talent is a fundamental component of building students’ awareness and cultural identities.
Regarding the significance of the event, Dr. Ayat Al-Maghrabi noted during the ceremony—which was moderated by the media figure Dr. Saleem Sharif—that the participation of 21 Jordanian universities in this third season reflects the growing prestige and significance the competition has attained at the national academic level.
Building upon the competitive spirit of the evening, the ceremony concluded honouring the winning students. Khalid Al-Tayeh from the Hashemite University secured first place, while Saleem Sharaf from the World Islamic Sciences and Education University claimed second place. Third place was shared between Ahmed Al-Masri from the German Jordanian University and Radwan Yahya from Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan.
