Hussein Niazi Kataw, a student at Middle East University’s Faculty of Information Technology, has secured a distinguished athletic milestone by claiming second place in the National Kickboxing Championship under the K-1 discipline.
This achievement occurred within the framework of the three-day National Open Championship, an event characterised by its rigorous competitive atmosphere and extensive participation from across the Kingdom.
Regarding the technical significance of the event, the tournament established a notable precedent by dedicating independent sessions specifically to the K-1 style. This strategic move was designed to elevate the technical proficiency of athletes in alignment with international standards.
Amidst this heightened level of competition, Kataw delivered an exceptional performance, most notably recording the fastest knockout (KO) of the entire championship—a feat that underscores both his advanced physical conditioning and superior technical precision.
