Middle East University has secured a distinguished second-place ranking at the National Debating Championship in Aqaba, emerging from a highly competitive cohort of 30 teams representing various Jordanian universities. This accomplishment underscores the institution’s robust engagement with competitive rhetoric and formal argumentation.
The team’s consistent performance throughout the preliminary and knockout stages defined the path toward this success. The delegates—Abdeen Al-Dajani, Mohammad Al-Qasim, Hala Abu Snineh, and Hudhafa Abu Hassan—demonstrated a high level of proficiency in structural logic and the synthesis of complex arguments, maintaining a winning streak that culminated in their final-round appearance.
Consequent to this achievement, the university’s team has qualified to represent Jordan at the forthcoming International Universities Debating Championship in Qatar. This transition to the international stage represents a significant marker of the university’s growing influence and visibility within academic debating circles.
Furthermore, this success serves as a validation of the university’s institutional commitment to advancing extracurricular educational frameworks. By formalising initiatives that prioritise the cultivation of critical inquiry and advanced communication skills, the university continues to facilitate the development of the intellectual competencies required for high-level academic discourse.
