The university recently hosted a delegation from the Traffic Department and Community Policing to conduct an interactive vehicle-driving simulation on campus. This initiative was primarily designed to heighten traffic awareness among the student body and to further embed the fundamental principles of road safety within the university community.
Furthermore, this initiative was established as part of a strategic partnership between the university and the Public Security Directorate. Through this collaboration, students were provided with the opportunity to participate in a realistic virtual driving experience. This simulation was specifically engineered to highlight the various challenges and hazards that drivers encounter, thereby enhancing students’ practical skills and their capacity for informed decision-making while operating vehicles.
In addition to the practical simulation, the event incorporated comprehensive educational briefings regarding traffic regulations and the critical importance of legal compliance.
Moreover, the programme emphasised the detrimental impacts of erratic driving behaviours on public safety. By combining theoretical instruction with practical application, the event fostered an immersive environment that successfully bridged the gap between safety concepts and real-world practice.
