The minister of political and parliamentary affairs, Mr. Abdul Moneim Al-Oudat, recently met with members of the Student Parliament from Middle East University during a high-level briefing held at the ministry’s headquarters. The session was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour, and the Ministry’s Secretary-General, Dr. Ali Al-Khawaldeh.
Addressing the current geopolitical climate, Mr. Al-Oudat asserted that the present era demands a heightened sense of national consciousness. He emphasised the necessity of rallying behind the state’s official discourse to counter misinformation and attempts to sow discord, noting that societal awareness serves as the primary bulwark for protecting national stability.
Building on this strategic outlook, the minister maintained that despite regional challenges, Jordan remains committed to its political, economic, and administrative modernisation projects. He described these reforms as a strategic choice designed to strengthen state resilience, consolidate stability, and forge a more prosperous future.
In tandem with these developmental goals, Mr. Al-Oudat highlighted the pivotal role played by the youth in this transitional phase. He urged students to participate actively in raising public awareness and promoting a culture of responsible dialogue, thereby contributing to the protection of social cohesion.
Reflecting on the engagement, the participating students expressed their appreciation for such initiatives, which they believe significantly enhance their understanding of national issues. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting national stability and upholding the values of belonging and civic responsibility.
