The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture hosted a specialised workshop entitled “The Future of Green Buildings in Jordan”, held in strategic partnership with the Jordan Green Building Council.
In attendance were the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ayman Awad, alongside esteemed members of the academic staff. The session was led by the council’s executive director, Engineer Ghaida Salameh, who addressed a series of critical themes. Central to the discussion was the pivotal role of green architecture in driving sustainable development and curbing carbon emissions within the built environment.
Furthermore, the workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the current state of the sustainable urban sector in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan whilst candidly assessing the challenges currently impeding its progress.
