During an inspection of the centre’s specialised laboratories and facilities, Al-Issawi received a comprehensive briefing from the Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Dr. Anas Al-Ashram, regarding the scope of the therapeutic services and the sophisticated medical apparatus integrated within the facility. Al-Issawi remarked that the establishment of the centre represents a strategic advancement in the role of contemporary universities, which are increasingly required to align their academic outputs with societal needs and tangible human requirements. He further observed that the centre serves as a functional model for investing in human capital by enhancing the quality of life for residents while offering students authentic clinical training under expert academic supervision.
Dr. Nasereddin, in his remarks, emphasised that the patronage of the Royal Hashemite Court for an institution serving approximately 250,000 local residents carries profound national significance, reinforcing the leadership’s commitment to the role of universities in community service. He indicated that the centre is a practical manifestation of the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which focuses on delivering high-quality, specialised services to the public.
Professor Al-Mahadin, in her address, explained that the founding of the centre is a core component of the university’s fifth strategic plan, which prioritises entrepreneurship and social impact. The facility was designed to function as an advanced educational and therapeutic space, consolidating the university’s position as a proactive institution within the national landscape. At the conclusion of the proceedings, the Middle East University shield was presented to Al-Issawi in recognition of his patronage and continued support.
