The Faculty of Nursing at Middle East University organised an orientation meeting for its new students. The event was attended by the University Vice President, Prof. Ahmad Al-Louzi; the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Samira Al-Habashneh; the Head of Cultural Affairs, Public Relations, and Media, Ms. Reem Al-Barhoumi; the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour; along with several faculty members and a gathering of students.
In her address, Dr. Al-Habashneh stated that the Faculty operates according to a comprehensive vision focused on preparing nursing cadres capable of aligning solid scientific knowledge with the humanitarian dimension inherent to the profession’s essence. She noted that this is achieved through advanced educational programmes and practical training tracks that keep pace with health sector standards, both locally and regionally.
In her commentary, Ms. Al-Barhoumi emphasised the importance of preparing a qualified generation of healthcare leaders capable of serving the community with efficiency and responsibility and contributing to building a sustainable health system that responds to future needs.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Nsour highlighted the vital role of student activities and clubs in honing students’ skills, enhancing their personalities, and fostering their sense of belonging to the university. He stressed the importance of the services provided by the Career Guidance Office, primarily the free specialised courses in CV development, which empower students to enter the labour market with confidence and competence.
The event featured a ceremony honouring top Jordanian and Saudi students, in the presence of representatives from the embassy, including Mr. Qasim Huwaitat.
