The Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences ,in collaboration with the Arab House Cultural Forum, organised a poetry morning entitled “Poetic Spaces”.
This morning event witnessed the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ayat Al-Moghrabi, and the Director of Programmes and Activities at the Forum, Ms. Mirna Hatqwah, alongside a number of academic staff members and a gathering of students.
The event’s objective was to revitalise the literary movement within the university and to breathe new life into the aesthetics and intrinsic values of the Arabic language. Furthermore, it sought to support young poetic talents and encourage them to hone their creative skills.
At the conclusion of the poetry morning, the faculty honoured the participating poets and the Arab House Cultural Forum in appreciation of their distinguished cultural contribution. Students were also given the opportunity to pose their queries to the poets, who, in turn, offered valuable guidance on developing poetry writing skills and elevating literary taste.
