The Faculty of Pharmacy held an orientation meeting for new students. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Amjad Abu Armileh, the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yousef Malkieh, along with a number of faculty members and new students.
In his address, Prof. Abu Armileh emphasised the Faculty’s commitment to preparing a generation of pharmacists qualified to meet the needs of the health sector with competence, responsibility, and capability.
He added that, through its advanced academic programmes, the Faculty strives to deliver quality education that combines pharmaceutical knowledge, scientific research, and clinical applications. This is achieved through applied curricula supervised by elite academics and experts, aiming to graduate pharmacists who possess critical thinking and innovation skills, capable of contributing to the development of pharmaceutical policies and enhancing public health.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of providing a stimulating educational and research environment that places the student at the centre of the educational process. The faculty supports their scientific and professional development by encouraging participation in applied scientific research that keeps pace with developments in the pharmaceutical industry and contributes to fostering pharmaceutical innovation both locally and internationally.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Abu Armileh called upon the students to adhere to professional ethics and the highest humanitarian and scientific standards. He affirmed that graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy are ambassadors of science and knowledge and that the Faculty will remain a leading scientific beacon contributing to achieving pharmaceutical and health security whilst supporting the building of a more prosperous future for the Jordanian health sector.
