Middle East University has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green Circle for Cybersecurity, a software industry company. This collaboration aims to develop the proficiencies of MEU’s students and graduates in the field of cybersecurity, thereby enabling their entry into the job market with advanced practical competencies aligned with the requirements of digital transformation in Jordan and the wider region.
The agreement was duly executed by Prof. Dr. Qusai Shambour, who was acting in his capacity as Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, representing the university, and Engineer Ali Al-Assaf, who was acting in his capacity as General Manager, on behalf of the company. Notably, the signing ceremony witnessed the presence of representatives from both entities, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
The establishment of this partnership marks the commencement of the “Cyber Bridge” programme, an initiative designed to establish a correlation between academic achievement and practical experience. This is achieved through a systematic progression of training stages, incorporating technical simulation within virtual environments and on-site training within the company. Moreover, the Memorandum of Understanding enables access to the “Cyber Zero to Hero” platform, which provides interactive training experiences and digital competitions that replicate real-world operational scenarios.
Furthermore, the agreement also encompasses the (GiG) programme, the objective of which is to support flexible and remote work models, thus keeping pace with contemporary trends in the global technology employment market.
