Middle East University participated in the annual meeting of career guidance office directors from Jordanian universities. This event was organised by the INJAZ Foundation and witnessed broad participation from representatives across Jordanian higher education institutions.
The university was represented by Rima Al-Arini, Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office. The meeting aimed to expand the scope of cooperation between higher education institutions and the development sector. Furthermore, it served to review joint programs and initiatives designed to enhance youth competency in the areas of employability skills, economic empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
In this context, Ms. Al-Arini commented that the collaboration with the INJAZ Foundation constitutes a qualitative tributary to the university’s efforts in providing innovative training and employment opportunities. It also serves to enhance the skillsets of students by taking advantage of pioneering national initiatives that focus on life and professional skills, in addition to practical qualifications.
The gathering featured a specialised training workshop on “Emotional Intelligence and Its Role in Student Counselling,” delivered by trainer Majdi Ghazal. The workshop focused on reinforcing the competency of counsellors in interacting with students and comprehending their psychological and behavioural needs, thereby contributing to the development of a supportive university environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
