Middle East University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Authority to enhance joint cooperation in training and exchange of expertise, especially in the fields of electricity and renewable energy, computer science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and nuclear and radiological security.
The memorandum was signed by the Director of the Consultancy, Training and Languages Centre, Prof. Anis Al-Mansour, and the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Eng. Ziad Al-Saaydeh.
Dr. Al-Mansour said that this memorandum is in line with the commitment of both parties to develop national capabilities and expand the fields of academic and applied cooperation, in line with international standards and the requirements of the local and regional labour market.
In turn, Eng. Al-Saaida explained that the authority is concerned with qualifying national competencies and providing them with specialised knowledge and practical training in vital areas that touch the core of the market needs and future priorities.
The memorandum, which was signed in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al Nsour, states that the two parties will cooperate in organising training courses and specialised workshops, exchanging experiences and technical knowledge, and enabling both sides’ staff and university students to benefit from advanced qualification programmes, according to the latest frameworks and methodologies adopted in the agreed areas of cooperation.
