Amman:
The President of Middle East University, Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, in the presence of her Vice President, Prof. Ahmed Al-Louzi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh, honoured the winners of the Holy Quran Memorisation Competition, “Give Good to Receive,” and the Athar Initiative.

The university places a high priority on investing in its human resources, with a particular focus on academic development, personal growth, the provision of resources and opportunities, and the fostering of an inclusive environment that ensures positive change.

In the Holy Quran Memorisation Competition, Abdulrahman Shalabi, a student of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, was the first-place winner in the male category, while Jinya Al-Sharqawi, a student of the Faculty of Engineering, was the first-place winner in the female category. The Bahja Initiative team was the first-place winner in the “Give Good to Receive Good” competition.

In her speech during the meeting, which was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Abu Halqa, a faculty member at the Faculty of Media, and attended by Dr. Jumana Al-Salem, Advisor of the Cultural Club, and Ms. Nadia Nasser Al-Din, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, she stated that such periodic activities and programmes at the university provide an anchor that promotes discipline, instills moral values, and deepens their connection to their faith.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Arman, a member of the faculty at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, asserted that the students demonstrated remarkable proficiency, noting that such activities offer university students a substantial cognitive and moral benefit, thereby enhancing the overall quality of their university experience.

It is pertinent to note that the Holy Quran Memorisation Competition was organised by the Cultural Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs, while the Faculty of Information organised the “Give Good to Receive” competition.

Middle East University was founded in 2005 in Amman, the capital of Jordan, located approximately 15 minutes from the city centre. The university’s campus is secure and conducive to learning, in accordance with the needs of students, academic and administrative bodies, and guests of the university.
The university comprises nine faculties and three academic programmes, namely, bachelor’s degree, higher diploma and master’s degree, in addition to hosted programmes with the most prestigious British universities.
