Students from Middle East University have achieved a major turning point in the realm of academic debate, securing a notable regional success at the Third Asian Arabic Debating Championship. The prestigious outcome of the tournament witnessed student Huthafa Abu Hassan securing fifth place and student Karmal Al Madi attaining sixth place, both within the category of Best Speakers at the tournament, which was hosted by the State of Qatar and witnessed extensive participation from a number of universities in Asia and the Arab region.
This significant qualitative achievement stands as a testament to the university’s concerted efforts to furnish its students with essential skills in public speaking, debating, and critical thinking. This objective is in alignment with the institution’s overarching vision of preparing a generation that is proficient in the tools necessary for constructive dialogue.
