In November 2024, Middle East University and the University of Bedfordshire received a British Council Grant to expand the Female Higher Education Leadership Network and support the hosted PhD program. The project aims to address the gender gap in higher education in Jordan by developing a Gender Mainstreaming Toolkit, establishing a peer mentoring program, and conducting Action Research to inform policies based on the experiences of women in academia. It focuses on increasing female participation in academia, particularly in leadership roles, to promote gender equality and improve education quality in both Jordan and the UK.
Wisdom wave:
Wisdom Wave is a podcast focused on addressing challenges faced by women in academia and research, with a special emphasis on balancing work and personal life. The podcast features insightful discussions, expert interviews, and practical advice to empower women navigating these spaces and striving for success in both their careers and personal lives. Wisdom Wave is a key initiative of the DARBNA project wich is funded by British Council and Implemented by Middle East University and The University of Bedfordshire, aiming to amplify the voices of women in academia and research.
