Amman: Middle East University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Hussein Technical University to advance the educational landscape through the deep integration of experiential technical education pathways.
The memorandum was signed by Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, president of the university, and Dr. Ismail Al-Hanti, president of Al-Hussein Technical University.
The memorandum, attended by Prof. Ahmad Al-Louzi, Vice President; Prof. Ayman Al-Nsour, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Dr. Ayman Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design; and Mr. Kamal Fraij, Director of Media and Public Relations, permits students to utilise sophisticated technical instruments, which are indispensable for their academic and professional advancement. This enables them to align with global trends towards innovative technology-driven learning experiences.
In this regard, Dr. Al Hanti, in the presence of a number of deans and directors of the concerned centres, expressed his admiration for the approaches adopted by Middle East University, which has provided an innovative and influential model in the field of higher education. As a result of these endeavours, novel approaches to dynamic education have emerged, which have been devised in accordance with the requirements of the labour market and the expectations of employers. This collaboration represents an endorsement of the construction of educational experiences that are commensurate with the aspirations of students and the needs of the labour market.
In her remarks, Prof. Al-Mahadin stated that the university is committed to redefining the higher education landscape. Its Teaching and Learning Strategy views the educational experience as an opportunity to develop the technical skills, educational knowledge, and guiding values necessary for students to find their place in technical and professional environments.
She highlighted that mere possession of knowledge is no longer sufficient, which is why the university’s curricula and study programmes are designed to be dynamic and adaptable. This is coupled with continuous engagement with employers and professionals.
