Amman: The Faculty of Engineering’s General Assembly meeting at Middle East University addressed the question of how the curriculum might be adapted in order to align it more closely with emerging trends in technology, sustainability standards, and industry requirements. In addition, the meeting’s objective was to deliberate on strategies to enhance the critical thinking, creativity, and engineering skills of students.
In this matter, Dr. Ayman Awwad, Dean of the Faculty, stated that the meeting identified the new avenues of knowledge that the Faculty will pursue, with a particular focus on vital partnerships with various sectors and the initiation of collaborative projects with specialists and representatives of engineering disciplines within and beyond Jordan. Furthermore, he underscored the necessity of adequately preparing students to work in an environment where sustainable engineering practices are regarded as a fundamental necessity rather than an optional consideration.
